Joana Vasconcelos is one of the most respected visual artists in Portugal and beyond, who created a unique way of making very artistic pieces without limits, as the famous saying goes: “the fashion trend is the creativity that rolls” through her Atelier Joana Vasconcelos. The Atelier has been a great reference in the Portuguese artistic market through pieces such as shoes, the garden of Eden, Dior's lace among others that continue to be an unforgettable reference without equal for the atelier.

“Joana Vasconcelos is also an artist who questions the role of Portuguese women in the 21st century. From the violent Burka to the Solitary ring, its immense installations reflect the contradictions of a democratic and egalitarian society that continues to perpetuate the stereotypes of our grandmothers' time. ” This is the description of the image that refers to the artist's new work.

«Joana Vasconcelos es también una artista que cuestiona el rol de la mujer portuguesa en pleno siglo XXI. Desde el violento Burka al anillo Solitario, sus inmensas instalaciones reflexionan sobre las contradicciones de una sociedad democrática e igualitaria que sigue perpetuando los estereotipos de la época de nuestras abuelas.» 👠👠👠 «Joana Vasconcelos is also an artist who questions the role of Portuguese women in the 21st century. The studio located in Doca do Bom Sucesso, is a large space prepared to receive loads and unloads of containers, accompanied by a well-disposed and productive team. The team made up of artisans, seamstresses, electricians, carpenters, painters, architects, photographers to record Joana's work grew at the speed of light from 20 people to a team of 45 people. As for the process of creating a piece, Joana has an idea and makes a sketch, chooses the fabrics and colors and passes this sketch on to the architects who transform it into a technical drawing in 3 dimensions, which is given to artisans and seamstresses to create the props. After all the elements are ready, it's time to build the piece and test if your purpose has been achieved, then it is photographed, and finally off it goes.

Following is not everything, the studio that for many years has done everything to stand out not only in Portugal but around the world, also wants to create scholarships for art students.
